Kalimat Foundation in pursuit of its mandate, operates to serve the right to read, of disadvantaged Arabic speaking children who have either been forcibly displaced or who are visually disabled. Involvement takes place through two initiatives. Pledge a Library delivers book collections to youngsters separated from their homelands, to help sustain the connection and cultural roots, support literacy and ease integration into new settings and societies. Ara, on the other hand, exists to fulfil the objectives set out in the 2013 Marrakesh Treaty, to identify communities of blind and visually impaired children, as well as those who have print disabilities, to ultimately deliver and secure the wider availability of literature published in accessible formats.
